WLEDC is not just another camp! We are a state licensed, air conditioned, childcare center. WLEDC employs a mature staff, certified in first aid, CPR, and most important of all, fun!!! WLEDC's Summer Camp program has been consistently rated by child care professionals statewide as having a #1 quality curriculum for school age children.
The curriculum of the WLEDC summer program, is designed to provide your child with an overall educational experience in all of the K-6 core subject areas. Through our exciting field trips, active games, team building exercises, enrichment guests, and creative arts and craft activities, WLEDC's program encompasses the core subject areas of: Language Arts, Science, Mathematics, and Social Studies. In addition, the program provides exposure in the areas of Art, Music, Drama, Dance, Health, Physical Education, Foreign Language, and Computer Technology.
By active immersion into each of our weekly themes, your child will continue to grow, and learn through play, all summer long, without even trying!
Children may be registered by the week, for any of our exciting themes, however, space is very limited, and it is recommended that this program be offered as a multiple week experience for maximum growth potential in each area of the curriculum.
Each weekly program offers an exciting field trip, music, games, arts & crafts, dance, sports, and enrichment guests to correspond to the theme of the week. Recreational swimming is also a regular part of our program, and is included in the weekly fee, along with a camp t-shirt.
Hours of Operation:
M-F 7:30 A.M.-5:45 PM
All children who have completed Kindergarten are eligible to enroll. Children may continue in the program through the summer following their 6th grade school year.
